Moonhack is a free international event bringing kids from across the world together for two weeks of coding!
Suitable for kids ages 8-15, it’s a free, easy and hands-on way to get coding, no matter where you are.
Over the last 8 years over 190 000 children have been coding Moonhack projects.
Moonhack is organised and run by Code Club Australia. Code Club is a nationwide network of volunteer-led coding clubs with a mission to #getkidscoding! We are a charity with the aim of giving every child the skill, confidence and opportunity to shape their world.
Moonhackathons are for any household, office, Code Club, library or school that want to organise a group to participate in Moonhack.
These are independently held events, not managed by Code Club. Don’t worry! We have some simple steps to get you to the moon and back!
Registration is free and will open on September 1st.
Decide on when and where your event will be held, and send out invitations.
Once you are registered, select which project you will offer your coders. Practice the project before it all starts.
Hold your event and celebrate at the end. Will you submit your projects and enter the competition?
