HOST YOUR OWN MOONHACK EVENT
Help educate and inspire more kids to give coding a go, and have real impact.
SubmitEVERYTHING YOU NEED TO MOONHACK
Whether you are a returning Moonhacker, or new to Moonhack, we have developed some resources to help you know more about how to engage with the challenge. Select the best category below.
For Code Clubs
We’ve created a guide to support you to
submit a project for Moonhack. Each project has the chance to win a Moonhack prize! The submission button will go live on October 14.
We’ve also got the criteria sheet that will be used for judging.
For teachers
Each of the projects is aligned to the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies. Check each project page for details.
If you’ve chosen a project use our how to Moonhack to see the best way to engage with the project. We’ve also created this how to submit page to help when entering the competition. The submission button will go live on October 14. Here is the criteria sheet that will be used for judging.
Tips!
Students do not ‘log in’ to our site. Share the starter link with them to #getkidscoding
We do not host any student info – safe for everyone to take part
Submissions – the submissions page will ask you whether the projects can be shared with our network, or if they are only to be viewed by our judging panel. We take the privacy of your student’s work seriously.
For Parents
Use our how to Moonhack to see how to access a Moonhack task. We’ve also created a quick guide to Scratch to help families get started with this coding software, if you haven’t used it before. We recommend creating an account for your Moonhacker!
Use this poster when you are ready to save your Scratch project. Ready to submit a project? Read our submission guide. The submission button will go live on October 14. Here is the criteria sheet that will be used for judging.
